Blessing Inventory

So, this morning Mr. Bearchell led communion. He asked us, "Have you taken inventory of your blessings lately?"...my answer would have been no if we were to answer aloud. So I decided to list things that have been a blessing to me lately. These aren't in order, probably by the way.

-God! Of course, He gives us life and everything else that we need! He is the reason that anything else can be considered a blessing..Because He is the giver of every good thing.
-Salvation
-Daddy..For so many reasons. No one could ask for a better dad. He loves us, works hard for us, he loves God, he encourages us to strive after the Lord and things of the Lord, he prays for us, he is funny and enjoyable to be around, etc.,etc.,etc..
-Mum...she works very hard to keep us all in line and run this home. She does a wonderful job and supports Dad in all he endeavors to do. She is very funny and know how to take a joke, which I appreciate a whole lot.:)
-Emma...I can tell her everything and we have a lot of fun together. We laugh and we are best friends and we know each other better than anyone else.(I'm trying to keep this short.)
-Sophie...she and I are a lot alike, yet so different. We enjoy our deep little discussions...haha, inside joke. She always has some odd surprise left in my room for me...
-Tommy...he is good company and has lots of good things to say. He and I are a lot alike, actually...sometimes we are best friends, but sometimes we are both stubborn "firstborns"(he of the boys and me of the girls)
Ian...He makes me laugh..he is very creative and talented. He knows just the thing that needs to be said to cheer you up.
Amelia...sorry, can't describe Amelia...it is hard. She is a combination of all of us! Amelia is fun and sweet and very helpful.
-Friends.... This week especially ,Karah, Britta, Emilie, Haley, Hannah, and Rachael.
-The hope of rain and monsoons!!! I have been looking forward to this lovely season for months and months.
-Outside. I better keep my mouth shut on this one, because I have a ton to say about God's creation and it's wonderful beauty and the thrill of it all...mostly about monsoons and cows (just kidding about the cows, Rachael...)
-books...wonderful books...nothing in particular..Just books in general are very pleasant. I will talk about it more in the future, no doubt. Maybe in October..Very inspiring month.
-my notebook and pencils...not saying anymore...writing is just my favorite..Some of it is meant for other's amusement, some of it is just for me. Someday I will post something that I have written.

So these are just a few things, but I will try to make my blessing inventory more of a common occurrence

The One and Only...Britta

THIS is Britta.  She is my pink friend. I LOVE her a whole lot!! She is currently attending Pensacola College in Florida.  My and Britta go waaayyyy back. We used to eat seven belgium waffles, play Polly Pockets, write songs and perform them with dorky outfits on,sing "Dive" in airy voices in front of EVERYONE because we just didn't care, bake 2 million chocolate cookies from that poor worn out recipe book, put way to much vanilla extract in everything, talk about our super amazing clothes from out favorite thrift store, sing wih the Rubber Band Man, eat endless pizza, carrots,+ice cream on movie Fridays, covet American Girl Doll stuff from the catologue, talk about all-our-friends, and so much more.  Britta MacDonell was my very first friend when we moved to Oakhurst.  We mostly got along very well...:):) We had our petty moments.  What is most important is the fact that Britta and I share the bond of Christ. For this reason we can love each other as sisters in Christ and pray for one another and share our trials and triumphs as very close friends who can depend that the other will always lift up everything to our Lord. I haven't seen "Bridda" since June of 2010 and I miss her A TON!  I praise God for Britta and pray that she will grow closer to God as she is in a new place. Love you forever Britta!

Church Camp Part One:

Hello All! Yesterday our family returned from a wonderful weekend of camping with our church family.  It was a great time. I got to strengthen my relationships with those I had not know very well prior to camp.  We had ping pong competitions(I didn't get to play because of the constant line!), chili cook-offs (I won!), Ultimate Frisbee in a dried up lake bed, hay rides graciously provided by a family in our church, rich teaching times, singing, discussions, card games, and lots more! Every night a group of us girls slept under the stars and every morning I awoke with a sunburn.  It was rather entertaining. The theme for our weekend was Unity. What stood out the most to me as I thought about it was unity in creation.  See for a few weeks the cicadas have been a focus of my thought. I often find myself wanting to sing along in their chorus of clicks. I don't know why, but that is what I wanted. Well, actually it isn't too odd for me to think of something like that. I constantly am observing things in God's creation that stike me with wonder...the cicadas were one of them.Well, my grandpa Gindorf metioned during one of the times of testimony this weekend that they are singing in unity to their Creator...then it all clicked. Maybe the fact that the cicadas are perfectly unified and free to sing lovely clicking songs to God for us to observe and enjoy was the cause of my want to join them. At any rate it encouraged me to keep an eye out for unified things in nature and strive to follow the example in my life so that I am working to mantain peace in everything. I also thought of Chemistry. Now if you know me you will know that Chemistry wasn't my favorite subject in school this year. No it wasn't. I actually tried not to like it at one point(don't ever do this)because it had confusing math in it. However, I did enjoy learning how marvelous and perfect God has fit everything together in this world. So this weekend has caused my eyes to be sharpened to see examples of unity in Creation and recognize that God is to be given the glory for it all. Well, I have more to say, but I must go!

I Have No Good Title for This Post...:)

Again, I haven't posted anything for a long time...I have plenty of stuff to write about...stories and odd pensive little papers mostly, but none of that is something I want to put on my blog yet. SO here are a few pics..well three, so hardly a few even.
Me and my dad in Yosemite(Curry Village, actually)...we were about to go iceskating!

Emma, Amelia, and I just hangin' out...

Amelia jumping into a pile of pine needles..isn't she funny?<3

I will try to post some videos of recent choir performances soon...and pics if I can find them even!
